Monday, Monday, Monday! Did I mention Happy Monday? 🙂
We are on Day 7 of gratitude. While on my hike yesterday I thought about how I wanted to reflect on something deeper when going through this gratitude journey. I feel like I’ve just been skimming the surface of ideas and thoughts.
So today it’s about how to perceive challenges. And I hope this makes sense.
I‘m grateful I’m learning that challenges in life aren’t always about me.
I used to act as if any difficulty or challenge meant something was wrong with me. It’s not. The challenge is happening but that’s it. It’s not necessarily personal.
Dear World — Challenges happen and all you can do is do your best and be yourself.
It doesn’t minimize the challenge and it doesn’t mean what’s happening is right. It means you have to take the onus of what’s wrong with the challenge off of you. Some challenges can be positive, some can be negative. It all depends on how you look at it.
My advice: Whatever type of challenge it is, face it with a positive attitude, feelings and actions. Be the better person.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.Marilyn Monroe
